Congratulations CCSD Middle School Academic Bowl Winners!

Dean Rusk Middle School is the winner of the Cherokee County School District Middle School Academic Bowl! 

Creekland Middle School placed second at the event, which was organized by CCSD’s Academics & Accountability division and sponsored by the Cherokee County Educational Foundation.  Congratulations to our students and their teacher coaches and thank you to our School Board for its laser focus on ensuring our students are learning more, growing more, and achieving more in our classrooms than they could anywhere else!

The event, which qualifies winners for regional competition, provides CCSD middle school academic bowl teams an opportunity for competition in knowledge areas including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, sports, and popular culture.  

Dean Rusk MS Academic Bowl Team members are: Captain, Ethan Chambley; and Gehrig Cheek, Julianna Kennery, Ethan Lindsey, Jace Millirons, Risa Pratish, James Rabel, Shri Sanevelly, Charvik Sirivella, and Easton Smith.  Teachers Kim Dye and Courtney Jasman serve as the team’s coaches.  They will be recognized by the Cherokee County School Board and Superintendent of Schools at an upcoming School Board meeting following regional academic bowl competition.

Creekland MS Academic Bowl Team members are: Captain, Sri Dasari; and Bobby Campbell, Lawson Crawford, Keegan Cribb, Reyaansh Gautam, Xander Hardin, Owen Norris, August Radke, Preston Reiter, and Noah Simko. Teachers Eric Norris and Allison Storm serve as the team’s coaches.
